FAQ
Your pet will look and smell great! Your pet’s skin and coat will stay healthy, and keeping the nails short will reinforce healthy foot structure and posture. In addition, regular grooming may result in early detection of issues with the skin, ears, and teeth.
It depends on your pet’s needs. Pet’s that need haircuts, we recommend every 4-6 weeks. Pet’s that only need baths or nails, we recommend every 6-8 weeks.
When you schedule an appointment with us, you are provided a dedicated pet groomer that will discuss your pet’s needs and have the services completed in about 3 hours. Walk-in services, such as nail trim or Splash ‘N Dash services, do not require an appointment and take around 15 minutes.
The exact price depends on the breed, size of the pet, coat type, condition of the coat, temperament during the grooming process, and services performed. We do this so we are charging you just right for your specific pet and needs.
We start grooming services as early as 8 weeks old. This will get them used to the smells and sounds of the grooming salon, as well as introduce them to being groomed. Up until 5 months old, we offer a puppy package, which includes a bath, blow dry, brushing, nails clipped, ears cleaned, and trimming around the face, feet, and sanitary if needed. This introduces them to the grooming process without being too much the first few times.
For the safety of the pets in our care, we do not allow clients to remain with their pets during the grooming process. We are more than happy to give you a tour so you may see where your pet will be getting groomed.
At Pampered Pet Salon, we work hard at creating a safe environment for all of our furry clients. Pets in our care may be kenneled before and after their groom in our state-of-the-art kennels with fresh water, and they will be given a break inside their kennel during the process to help create a stress-free experience.
We have a variety of drying options that are appropriate for pets of all ages and breeds. If you have any concerns, please talk to your pet stylist at check-in.
Matting is the development of knots in the coat that is unhealthy for the dog’s skin. Before bathing the pet, it is necessary to remove all of the matts, since getting matts wet can make them tighter. If the matting is minimal, it may be possible to dematt the coat. Unfortunately, this may be a painful process for your pet, in which case we would need to shave the coat. At check-in, your pet stylist will advise you on what can be done to safely, and gently, remove all of the matts.
Yes, but it depends on the overall health of your pet. If your pet does not do well with car rides, we would recommend you trying a mobile grooming service so that your pet does not need to travel anywhere. If your pet has a very hard time standing, or has serious health problems, such as severe heart conditions or seizures, we would recommend you have your pet groomed at a veterinarian where they can monitor your pet more carefully while being groomed, and be able to react if things go wrong.
We express them externally upon request.
Unfortunately not, since we are not a dog daycare center. We want your pet to enjoy being in our care, so prompt pickup helps keep them from getting stressed from being here too long. Pets in our care longer than 5 hours will be charged a kennel fee.
We greatly appreciate a 24 hour notice prior to your scheduled appointment time. We understand that life happens, so this may not be possible at times. If there are more than 2 cancelled appointments with less than 24 hour notice, we will ask for you to prepay for your appointment to hold the appointment slot. If it happens again, we may ask you to book with a different grooming salon that may be able to better work with your schedule
Please tell us so we can make it right! If it is something small, we can fix it right then. If it is something that will take more time, we may ask you to come back a different day to ensure we have the time necessary to make the correct adjustments. If it is something you believe we cannot fix, we will be happy to give you a refund.
We are so happy! The best compliment we can get is a referral or a great review on Yelp! And, of course, to see you again!
